This is a demanding job with high levels of delegated authority and offers the opportunity to take decisions and make a difference in line with the Spire Healthcare Values and Behaviours.

  • Maximising theatre utilisation, consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to all staff across the service and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise relating to professional issues
  • You will be expected to demonstrate leadership skills and lead the team clinically though day to day tasks
  • You will be expected to complete clinical duties on a regular basis
  • Deputising for the Theatre Manager when appropriate
  • Acting as a role model to your team and offering support as and when needed and promoting good practice throughout the team
  • Ensure compliance and challenge poor performance/behaviours

Who we’re looking for:

  • You must be a registered nurse or ODP
  • NMC / HCPC registration with no restrictions on practice
  • You will have strong theatre experience, ideally across a variety of specialities
  • Ideally you will have previous leadership experience in a Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader capacity
  • You must be comfortable leading a large team of qualified and non-qualified staff
  • You must be flexible in supporting the theatre team where required
  • You will be able to demonstrate your ability and common sense to deal with challenging situations as they arise and resolve swiftly and appropriately

We commit to our employees well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.
