Spire Edinburgh Hospital are looking to recruit experienced and committed Operating Theatre staff/ODPs to join our friendly operating theatre team. Consultants come to work with us from all across the UK and you will work closely with them and be exposed to the latest innovative, evidence-based clinical techniques.

Most important is that our Operating Theatre staff/ODPs are experienced in a variety of surgical procedures, or are willing to learn new procedures and techniques under expert supervision. Duties and responsibilities
• Working as part of a supportive team you will provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative department
• You will assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Scrub teams in the operating department; acting as the Scrub Practitioner across a range of clinical specialities
• You’ll discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for assessment of patients including their needs and any associated risks

Who we're looking for
• Operating Department Practitioner or Operating Theatre Nurse with valid registration
• Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes although would consider newly qualified Nurse or ODP
• Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training.
