An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Resuscitation Practitioner to join an established and dynamic Resuscitation & Simulation team.

You will be committed, dedicated, and self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will ideally have experience in teaching and managing medical emergencies.

You will be required to provide appropriate and effective resuscitation training to all grades and disciplines of staff throughout the Northern Care Alliance and in line with the current Service Level Agreement.

You will be expected to liaise with the Lead for Resuscitation & Simulation, ensuring the effective delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation to patients as needed.

You will attend cardiac arrests and advise on all issues regarding Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation e.g. following critical incidents/near misses, maintain emergency devices and equipment, audit, measure and implement new initiatives/change, in order to maintain and continually improve the quality of service to patients.

You will be supported to complete further Resuscitation courses and to undertake Instructor training if appropriate. A current ALS Provider certificate and knowledge of Simulation would be an advantage.

You will have experience working in acute or critical health care and have a keen interest in education and in Resuscitation. If you are keen to develop personally and professionally and want to be supported within a dynamic team we can offer an interesting, challenging development opportunity.

You will be based at Salford Royal Hospital, but will need to travel to throughout the Northern Care Alliance sites to work with departmental colleagues. A current driving licence is essential.

This post will require applicants to work occasional long days so flexibility is essential.
