We have an exciting opportunity for our Operating Theatre Manager at BMI Hospitals in Birmingham. BMI Priory and the Edgbaston Hospitals are looking for a Clinical Services Manager to lead our Operating Theatre teams across two sites closely situated to each other. The role will cover 8 operating theatres and support a standalone Endoscopy unit over two hospitals. The successful candidate will be an experienced Operating Theatre Practitioner with excellent management skills and demonstrable leadership. Our Hospitals provide care for adults and children multi-specialty surgical patients as well as supporting critical care, oncology and a diverse range of outpatient services.

This is a FULL time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions to practice.
Significant practice working in a UK acute hospital setting at a Senior clinical position as Operating Theatre Nurse or Practitioner or equivalent.
Previous experience as an Operating Theatre or Deputy Operating Theatre Manager is essential.
Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development, both clinically and managerially.
Demonstrate current knowledge in area of practice in relation to external regulatory standards, such as Care Quality Commission, Operating Theatre practice developments and surgical equipment, best practice in surgery.
Practical knowledge and application of NMC/HCPC Code of Accountability.
Clinical skills to include ILS (or ALS), Mentorship Qualification, advanced clinical practice such as SFA, post-graduate management training experience such as ILM3.
Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.

Duties of this role include:
Developing and managing service delivery within our Operating Theatre Departments across two hospitals with a high degree of professionalism ensuring effective deployment, utilisation and control of all resources while providing a high quality, responsive, patient focused service.
As a member of the Management Team contribute to the strategic, operational and business development of the hospital.
Lead the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
Lead the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge/skill, and expertise.

Salary & Benefits:
For this position BMI Healthcare offers a maximum salary of up to £58,500 per annum alongside access to a wide range of employee benefits, including:
