This maternity cover post is full time and is initially for a fixed term period of 1 year commencing in August 2018 however there may be an opportunity for the post to become permanent in the future. We are looking for a scrub practitioner (nurse or ODP) with excellent scrub skills in the speciality of gynaecology, plastic surgery, general/ laparoscopic surgery. If you are also a qualified surgical first assistant we will be especially pleased to hear from you.

Other specialties that are carried out at Chichester include orthopaedic surgery (including spinal), urology and eye surgery.

Most of our operating theatre team work their shifts over 4 days a week with a start time of 8am, however we are able to be flexible with shift patterns to create a positive work life balance. We aim to finish operating no later than 8pm and at the moment do not operate at the weekends.

We’re looking for an exceptional Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with passion for high standards and a meticulous eye for detail. As a registered Operating Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, you’ll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. You’ll also have post-registration experience, be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team you’ll interact with colleagues on the ward because you understand that continuity in patient care is key. Like us, you’re driven by quality.
