About the role
Spire Cardiff Hospital are looking for an experienced Operating Theatre Team Leader with Advance Scrub skills to run 3 main operating theatres.

The Operating Theatre Team Leader will deputise for the Operating Theatre Manager and support them, as required, in the provision of appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department. Maximising operating theatre utilisation, Consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards, the post-holder will provide strong leadership and direction to all staff across the service and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise relating to professional issues.

Duties and responsibilities
Monitor and assist in the delivery of patient care
Provide appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department
Act as a role model and mentor to clinical staff providing advice and support to others to promote good practice consistent with legislation and Spire Healthcare’s policies
Ensure all audits/reviews of the departments and their performance are undertaken and implement action plans in response to findings

Who we're looking for
HCPC/NMC registered
Extensive Scrub experience
Accredited Advanced Scrub Practitioner Qualification (desirable)
Cardiac Scrub Experience (desirable)
Mentoring / Leadership Skills
Have been working in a senior position
