About the role
Spire Gatwick Park are looking to recruit an Operating Theatre Manager to manage the daily running of the main Operating Theatres, Endoscopy & Theatre Sterile Service Unit

The Operating Theatre Manager will provide appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department. Maximising operating theatre utilisation, Consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards, the post-holder will provide strong leadership and direction to all staff across the service and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise relating to professional issues.

The Operating Theatre Manager will provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative and immediate recovery phase of care by ensuring all departmental staff members deliver high quality patient care, ensuring this is achieved within the available resources and agreed departmental budget.

Duties and responsibilities
Monitor and assist in the delivery of patient care
Provide appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department
Work with others to optimise operating theatre utilisation in relation to booked operating sessions and availability to meet the demands of elective work, taking action with regards under-utilisation of lists as appropriate
Manage staff rosters in the most efficient way to meet demand, whilst maintaining compliance with the Agency staff KPI on the Clinical Scorecard and balancing the use of overtime
Carry out any other duty that reasonably falls within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post

Who we're looking for
HCPC/NMC registered
Substantial perioperative experience
Previous experience as a Senior Registered Practitioner within an Operating Theatre Environment
Auditing skills across clinical standards and departments
Coaching Skills
