We are looking for an exceptional Operating Theatre Nurse or Practitioner with a passion for high standards and a meticulous eye for detail. In this busy role you will support the team in our Operating Theatre and Minor Operations Suite in providing care for patients undergoing surgery.

Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital
This is an innovative and modern working environment, with a nurse-patient ratio that ensures quality of care. Surgical procedures include orthopaedics and ophthalmology, bariatric, cosmetic, general, urology, dermatology and outpatient cardiology. We have 42 beds, 3 major operating theatres (2 with laminar flow), an endoscopy suite, an outpatient surgical suite and pharmacy. We are located within easy reach of the town centre by public transport.

Your key accountabilities will be:
Supervising and supporting clinical support staff and junior staff in the delivery of care, providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs
Delivering high quality patient care, which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate
Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care as part of a collaborative programme

Qualifications, skills and values
As a registered Operating Theatre Nurse/Practitioner, you will have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. You will also have post-registration experience. Immediate / Advanced Life Support is desirable.
You will be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated.
You will feel part of the wider hospital team and understand the importance of continuity in patient care.

Candidates must be NMC or HCPC qualified.
