Equivalent to Band 6 – up to £34000 depending on experience

Spire Wellesley has 3 state of the art Operating Theatres and a 33 bedded Surgical Ward covering a wide variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Opthamology, Spinal, Urology and ENT. You will get exposure to a wide variety of patients and develop your career in a supportive environment.

We need you to provide exemplary care to patients within the perioperative stage. Working as part of a committed and supportive team, you will assess patients’ health and well-being, prepare for different interventions and confirm the operative area with patients. Keen to develop and progress in our caring environment, you will take advantage of learning opportunities within and outside Spire Healthcare to enrich your skills. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the perioperative service.

Dedicated to putting patients at the heart of everything you do, you will be a registered nurse or qualified operating department practitioner (ODP) with real empathy and warmth in your approach. You will have experience of applying your clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient cases. Willing to participate in on-call duties, you will ideally have or be working towards a post-registration qualification in perioperative practice if you are a nurse, or in clinical specialism if you are an ODP. You will definitely have the ability to work with minimum supervision and within a team.
